Napoli's build-up

Napoli's main owner since the end of the 2024/2025 season is American businessman Matt Rizzetta, and other American managers and investors have joined him. A restructuring of the club's organisational and technical side followed, and it brought in managers who previously worked in the NBA. Guard Jeff Dowtin Jr. joined this summer from Maccabi Tel Aviv, having played in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors and Golden State Warriors. In Serie A, Napoli top the table with three wins from three games, and on Sunday, 11 October, they beat Cantù 99:80 away, closing the game with a 22:0 run in the fourth quarter. Śląsk player Błażej Kulikowski described Napoli in an interview with the club's official website.

Napoli is a really well-built team, with stars, which is set to play in the EuroLeague next year.

Where the game may turn

Danny Franco's side has six players who scored more than 10 points in recent games: Robinson, Hickey, Parsons, Scruggs, Egbunu and Moore. The three Polish players, Nizioł, Sternicki and Kulikowski, have made useful plays at key moments even though their scoring has been low lately. The main concern is the boards, as Śląsk lost the rebounding battle 31:45 in Trento and 40:44 in Szczecin. Napoli's Zac Seljaas scored 23 points in Podgorica and Marco Spissu added 11 assists there, while Jahmi'us Ramsey scored 19 against Cantù. Napoli reached that win without injured Andrej Jakimovski, and five of their players finished in double figures. Franco said after the Szczecin win:

We went into the final quarter tired, but those were our best minutes of the game.
