Taylor leads Colts past Commanders in London
The Indianapolis Colts defeated the Washington Commanders 30-13 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on Sunday in front of 60,907 spectators. Running back Jonathan Taylor led the Indianapolis offense with 20 carries for 95 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Indianapolis overcame a slow offensive opening and early turnovers by quarterback Daniel Jones to pull away in the second half. Taylor scored his first touchdown on a 5-yard carry during the second quarter, putting the Colts ahead 7-6, before adding another 5-yard score in the third quarter. The victory gave Indianapolis its second consecutive regular-season win.

Record-setting international production
Taylor's London performance established new marks in the NFL's overseas games. The 27-year-old running back now holds the top spot for career international rushing yards with 408 and rushing touchdowns with six across three European appearances. Taylor also reached 75 career rushing touchdowns in 88 NFL games, matching the fifth-fastest pace to that threshold in league history. Colts defensive tackle DeForest Buckner commended Taylor following the final whistle.
I just want to start out by shouting out overseas J.T. Hell of a guy. Hell of a player.
In total international scrimmage yards, Taylor ranks third with 458 yards, trailing Minnesota receiver Justin Jefferson (491 yards in four games) and Jacksonville running back Travis Etienne Jr. (472 yards in five games).
European success and offensive line contributions
The contest marked a third European victory for Austrian offensive tackle Bernhard Raimann, who previously won two games in Germany with Indianapolis before Sunday's matchup in England. Left guard Quenton Nelson praised Taylor's running behind the offensive line.
It's always a privilege blocking for him since he's been a rookie. He's a great, great dude and a fantastic player that I think just keeps getting better.
Raimann noted the milestone of maintaining a clean record abroad while speaking after the game.
It is a great feeling to be 3-0 in Europe.
The Colts consolidated their offensive production through Taylor and receiver Josh Downs after veteran wideout Keenan Allen sat out due to a groin injury.
Washington injuries and Lane's ankle fracture
Washington entered the London fixture without starting quarterback Jayden Daniels, who was sidelined due to a dislocated non-throwing elbow, leaving veteran Marcus Mariota to start under center. The Commanders also lacked starting running back Rachaad White because of a shoulder injury and receiver Terry McLaurin due to a hamstring strain suffered on Friday. Wide receiver and return specialist Jaylin Lane then suffered a fractured and dislocated ankle during the contest. The 24-year-old was carted off the field and remained in England for further medical evaluations, with reports indicating he is likely out for the remainder of the season. Lane recorded two catches for 25 yards across four games this season and previously scored two punt return touchdowns as a rookie.
