The doll
Mattel has released a Barbie Signature doll modelled on Celine Dion, with the announcement made on Wednesday, 14 October 2026. The outfit recreates the long-sleeved dress she wore at the 1998 Academy Awards, when she performed "My Heart Will Go On" from Titanic. Descriptions of the dress colour differ: one account calls it navy, while another describes it as pale blue. The doll also wears a blue necklace inspired by the Heart of the Ocean jewel from the 1997 film, with its hair styled in an updo and a pair of silver earrings.
Dion welcomed the honour in a statement issued through Mattel.
It is a true honour to join the Barbie legacy with a doll inspired by one of the most meaningful moments of my career.
She added a hope that the doll would encourage people to express themselves with confidence and follow their dreams. Mattel described the launch as a celebration of her journey and legacy as a global figure in music and fashion. Dion joins a growing list of musicians turned into Barbie dolls, including Mariah Carey and Tina Turner, and actress Margot Robbie, who played Barbie in the 2023 film, also has a doll made in her likeness.
Price and availability
Reports give different prices and sales channels. French coverage puts the doll at 77.99 euros, available from the day of the announcement in Europe and North America. A British report lists it at £69.99 and says it is available for sale now. A Romanian account gives the price as 60 dollars and says the doll is sold exclusively through Mattel Creations. The release places Dion alongside earlier Barbie Signature subjects such as Whitney Houston, Tina Turner and Kylie Minogue.
Paris residency and comeback
Dion returned to the stage on 12 September 2026 at the Plenitude Arena in Paris, opening a residency of 16 dates. Reports say the shows sold out, and the final concert of this first leg is on Saturday, 17 October 2026. Her return was her first full concert since 2020, when her tour was cancelled because of the pandemic. Her later break from performing followed a 2022 disclosure that she had been diagnosed with stiff person syndrome, after which she cancelled the rest of the Courage world tour.
During the Paris comeback, she was filmed crying on stage and told the crowd she had kept a pledge to return.
I made a promise; I made a promise to come back and to be back on stage.
